Fragile Planet
Kevin Michael is the originator of the band Fragile Planet. Kevin has played in bars, clubs, coffee shops and events along the east coast both with the band and as a solo performer. His styles range from heartfelt ballads to Americana, to energetic rock n roll and indie-pop rock. Kevin composes songs on guitar based on his life experiences and with that brings themes of love, heartache, dreams, hope and a lust for life. His passion for all forms of art inspires him to work with other artists to bring together music, independent film, dance, visual art and photography. Kevin and Fragile Planet have participated in many music festivals, some organized by the band members themselves, including the Black River Music Festival and Luna Parc Fest. Fragile Planet has performed in many venues throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Kevin Michael is currently playing solo and works with other musicians to collaborate on songs and live events. Kevin grew up in New Jersey and around a variety of musicians and different music styles. He spent alot of time hanging out at record shops or with friends listening to records, cds, and tapes. Between friends and family, he always sought out artists ranging from David Bowie, Sigur Ros,The Clash, old blues like Leadbelly & Charley Patton, Neil Young, the Cure, Jane's Addiction, Rolling Stones, old punk, indie, psychedelic rock, some industrial, classical, 60s, 70s, 80s , 90s and more. I think it is good to taste different kinds of music, and find what you like, because it helps shape the sound you want. Music is constantly evolving in interesting directions, some good and bad.
